Our Comprehensive Inpatient Rehab & Residential Treatment for Women

Philosophy

The Women’s Inpatient Treatment You Need

Hannah’s House provides safe, gender-specific inpatient rehab for women struggling with substance or alcohol use. Our sophisticated inpatient treatment options also help women with co-occurring disorders and trauma.

Unlike outpatient programs, our comfortable inpatient rehab allows our patients to stay overnight for a designated period of time at our bayside facility in South Padre Island, Texas. We offer various lengths of stay, including shorter stabilization programming and long-term residential treatment for women.

Regardless of your length of stay, you can trust Hannah’s House to provide you or a loved one with the following:

  • Medically-supervised detox
  • Gender-separate living accommodations
  • Gender-specific treatment with female-oriented insights
  • A safe, supportive, peer-based environment
  • Long-term residential options
  • Continuing care

Gender-Separate Inpatient Rehab

Women are more likely to develop addiction and are more likely to experience hospitalization or death due to overdose, and they are less likely to admit that they need substance use or mental health treatment. Women are also more likely than men to use drugs to self-treat their mental health problems or cope with bodyweight changes, exhaustion, sleep issues, and pain.

Though addiction can be equally devastating for both genders, women experience different challenges during the recovery process than men. Women often face unique pressures and concerns — such as trauma, motherhood, and codependency — that further complicate and contribute to their addiction.

For this reason, we have designed a boutique approach to inpatient rehab and women’s recovery that is uniquely designed to meet these specific needs.

Treatment

Gender-Separate Treatment with Female-Oriented Insights

Our masters-level, female therapists understand how a women’s path to recovery differs from the experience of men. At Hannah’s House, we create a harmonious environment where women can explore the emotional, mental, physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of health in a safe space.

Our gender-specific and gender-separate residential treatment approach are designed with women in mind, helping each patient in our care to feel comfortable as they work to open up, overcome addiction, and embrace a healthier life.

Our Treatment Curriculum

Detox is often the first step toward recovery and wellness for many patients. We understand that women’s bodies may respond differently to medical detox than men’s bodies, and our inpatient rehab considers this from day one.

Our state-of-the-art onsite detox is overseen by doctors and nurses, during which all traces of alcohol and other drugs are eliminated from the brain and body. After physical sobriety is achieved, patients move on to a range of therapeutic activities designed to help each woman heal.

Our therapists provide cutting-edge care for recovery from interventions for PTSD and trauma to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Women stay in our program for varying lengths of time, depending on their needs and how they progress through treatment.

Our Methods and Modalities

Hannah’s House patients participate in evidence-based modalities, experiential therapies, psychological interventions, and individual as well as group therapies as they learn to lean on other women for support and accountability. We utilize the 12-Step framework to encourage an honest expression of experiences and feelings.

This spiritual and emotional release can better equip them for success as daughters, partners, mothers, and friends as they move towards a sober, chemical-free lifestyle.

A Safe, Supportive, Peer-Based Environment

The treatment curriculum of Hannah’s House was developed specifically for women and their concerns. During treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns, patients need to feel comfortable discussing serious topics in one-on-one meetings with a therapist as well as in group settings. In a gender-specific, peer-based environment, women learn to communicate with one another freely.

Our residential treatment for women empowers patients to thrive and recover in an atmosphere of trust and support. Hannah’s House is a safe and comfortable environment where destructive patterns are challenged and replaced with constructive behaviors and coping mechanisms. Patients in our women’s program are equipped with the tools they need to accept and internalize deeper truths that foster lifelong change.

Our residential treatment for women allows our patients to accept and internalize deeper truths that can motivate them to change. At Hannah’s House, treatment begins with assessment, and our expert therapists leverage a variety of time-tested and cutting-edge, evidence-based techniques aimed at helping patients engage in the meaningful work necessary to recover and find personal fulfillment.

Along with traditional talk therapy, our group and individual therapies address problematic thought processes and patterns of behavior whereby women can change their response to stress and nurture their personal gifts that strengthen recovery.

Some of our therapies include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Motivational Interviewing

Evidence-based Interventions

Our caring primary therapists gather crucial, evidence-based data and information about each woman’s mental health and personality.

From a comprehensive biopsycosocial approach, we work with every individual to create a personal path to recovery which incorporates the latest, proven interventions for brain health and includes:

  • Meditation training
  • Mindfulness techniques
  • Neurofeedback
  • Biofeedback

Trauma Therapy for Women, in South Padre Island, TX

Women pursuing recovery frequently suffer from trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Whether from sexual or domestic abuse, neglect, or through other unique experiences, both trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder can have a lasting impact on a person’s health and wellness.

Our rigorous assessment process and therapeutic approach to traumatic experiences provides valuable insight into thought patterns and co-occurring disorders that may impact a person’s potential for sustained recovery. Since we provide residential treatment for women, our patients are given the space and time to work through these issues and begin healing.

Evidence-based interventions, such as biofeedback and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for trauma, can provide relief from trauma symptoms, helping each woman to move toward a life of peace and serenity.

Experiential Activities

Without a woman’s active participation, there’s no progress on the path to sobriety, even in the best trauma-informed setting. Experiential activities such as problem-solving games, teamwork, improvisation, and other tangible actions are necessary to inspire women to get involved in their recovery on a physical level.

Clinically-driven experiential activities are a core component of Hannah’s House. Techniques like these allow participants to reconnect with their bodies and feel less inhibited amidst the beautiful natural resources of South Padre Island, Texas.
